Mr. Suleiman serves as the Head of Corporate Emergency Management at Petroleum Development Oman (PDO), the foremost exploration and production entity in the Sultanate of Oman. He possesses over 20 years of expertise in hydrocarbon operations, maintenance practices, enhanced oil recovery (EOR) initiatives, and the management of occupational health, safety, and environmental concerns. Furthermore, he specializes in emergency planning, preparedness, and response mechanisms.

In his current position, Mr. Suleiman is responsible for the establishment of a comprehensive and integrated emergency management system. This system effectively coordinates the organization’s resources to safeguard lives, protect the environment, and preserve property through strategic mitigation, preparedness, response, and recovery efforts related to various operational and non-operational hazards that could impact safety and business continuity.

Mr. Suleiman has actively participated in the planning, coordination, and mobilization of numerous corporate emergency response scenarios. These scenarios encompass aviation emergencies, incidents occurring at oil and gas processing and non-processing facilities, tank farm emergencies, tropical cyclone events, and marine oil spills classified as Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3. His responsibilities typically involve collaboration with a diverse array of stakeholders from both the private sector and government agencies.
