Currently serving as the Director of the Group Safety Compliance Department at Saudi Aramco, he oversees the company's comprehensive safety management system, ensuring compliance with occupational safety, process safety, and safety engineering standards across the organization and its affiliates worldwide. Throughout his illustrious career, Salem has held various roles within Saudi Aramco, driving advancements in safety and contributing to the company's reputation as a leader in the energy sector. His expertise spans multiple areas, including process safety, risk assessment and management, fire prevention, and safety engineering. He also spearheaded efforts to proactively identify, assess, and address emerging safety risks, ensuring the company remains at the forefront of safety excellence.

Salem holds a strong educational foundation, with two Bachelor of Science degrees in Chemical Engineering and Computer Science from the Colorado School of Mines, as well as a Master of Science in Safety Engineering from Texas A&M University.
