Rashid is a seasoned HSE leader with over 30 years of progressive experience at Petroleum Development Oman (PDO). Since 2021, he has served as a Senior HSE Coach, where he spearheaded the establishment of PDO’s pioneering HSE Coaching Department one of the first initiatives of its kind in the region designed to drive HSE cultural transformation, reduce incidents, and elevate safety performance across PDO and its contractor workforce. He plays a vital role in developing young Omanis through programs such as Eidaad, Emdaad, Shababuna, and large-scale HSE awareness sessions.

Rashid developed and implemented PDO’s HSE mentoring and coaching framework, setting a new industry standard. He leads the review and execution of HSE competency development for both PDO and contractor employees. A certified OPITO assessor and Associate Certified Coach (ACC) with the ICF, he also contributed to national HSE reform by reviewing the Oman Occupational Standard in collaboration with OPAL and the Ministry of Labour.

Previously, he held strategic leadership roles as Lead Support Engineer and Production Coordinator, where he delivered operational excellence and safeguarded asset integrity. Rashid holds a Master of Technology in Control & Measurement, is Lean-certified, certified BBS facilitator (USA), Certified Assessor -Edexcel (UK) and annually develops and upskills over 400 HSE professionals across various disciplines.
