Muhammad Yasir Arain is an experienced HSE professional with over 15 years of leadership in the oil, gas, and chemical industries. Currently serving as HSE Advisor Asset at Petroleum Development Oman (PDO), he brings deep expertise in operational safety and environmental stewardship.
He specializes in HSE Management Systems, PSM, Asset Integrity, Emergency Preparedness, and Environmental Compliance. Muhammad has led major initiatives to reduce Emergency Planning Zone (EPZ) non-compliance in critical sour operations. He has also played a key role in implementing Crisis Management systems, Incident Investigations, Business Continuity Plans, and Emergency Response strategies across both corporate and field operations.
Muhammad holds Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Master’s in Environmental Engineering and Management and NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety. He is a regular speaker at international HSE forums and will be a featured presenter at the Global HSE Conference 2025.
