Mohamed Alhooti is the National Focal Point of Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction besides being the Administrative Officer in the Crisis and Disaster Management Directorate, a newly established directorate in Kingdom of Bahrain for the core business of National Risk Reduction and Governance.
With a background in engineering (Mechanical) and a MSc. in Cyber security from University of Huddersfield, Mohamed brings 10 years of experience in the intersection of Safety, security and purpose-driven development. He held senior roles at Ministry of Interior, where he focused on strategies, organizational structures, risk mitigation and regional partnerships.
He is a public speaker and a National coordinator of local emergency management projects.
He has served on several departments in the General Directorate of Civil Defence and contributed to UN originations like IOM and UNDRR. His work has been recognized with several honors, including the Mechanical Industry Project Award (2019) and a spot as a Technical Expert in the IAEA (2024).
