Amira Al Riyami is a Snr Behavioural Safety Advisor at Petroleum Development Oman (PDO), bringing over five years of experience in the oil and gas sector. Currently leads behavioural safety initiatives aimed at strengthening frontline engagement, promoting safety leadership, and addressing risk normalization. My previous roles in operational safety have equipped me with robust knowledge of risk management, control frameworks, and assurance practices.

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from California State University, Long Beach, and is certified as a Leadership Safety Coach and Lean Behavior-Based Safety Internal Consultant. My approach combines technical expertise with people-focused safety strategies, enabling sustainable safety performance improvements.

A strong advocate for professional development and inclusion, actively mentors contribute to knowledge-sharing platforms. As a panellist for the Youth HSE Forum, will share meaningful on leveraging mentorship and networking to empower emerging leaders, overcome challenges, and build impactful, purpose-driven careers in HSE.
