Abdulla is currently Director of Aramco’s Corporate Sustainability Department under Strategy & Market Analysis (SMA) since August 2023. Prior to that, Abdulla held several leadership positions within SMA since 2016 in both the Global and Domestic Analysis Departments as well as the Strategic Planning Department.

Outside of SMA, Abdulla has had managerial assignments in the Planning and Performance Management and Ras Tanura Refinery Departments. He also embarked on an international assignment in the UK as a crude oil Marketing Manager in Saudi Petroleum Overseas Ltd (SPOL), Aramco’s marketing office in London.

He started his career in Aramco as an Analyst in SMA and worked as a Process Engineer at the SASREF refinery in Jubail, Saudi Arabia. Abdulla graduated with an MBA from the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill in 2010 and a Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering and Economics from Michigan State University in December 2003 just prior to beginning his professional career with Aramco.

Abdulla completed a Harvard Leadership Program in 2020, a Stanford Management Program in 2022 and a London Business School Finance & Strategy Program in 2023.
